Referrals

We accept referrals from Solicitors, CAFCASS and other professionals, but we now also offer self referrals.

It is important to note that Freshwaters has no power to compel any party to proceed with contact arrangements, our role is to facilitate contact that has been agreed by both parties.  When a professional is involved they will broker the agreement between the parties.  In the case of self-referrals then this is carried out as part of our referral process.  If agreement cannot be reached then we are unable to facilitate contact.

If you are a professional and would like to make a referral then please email freshwaters.cc@virgin.net or call us on 01279 450220 to receive a referral pack.

If you would like to make an application for a self-referral place at Freshwaters then you can do this through the NACCC  Safe Referral System.

NACCC make a £10.00 charge for using their system.  Freshwaters does not make any charge, however we do incur significant costs.  Please take a look at our Supporters page if you would like to help us meet those costs.

If you would like to see how an average referral progresses through Freshwaters Contact Centre then take a look at FCC Pathways

If you would like to see examples of the type of help we can provide according to your situation then take a look at FCC Gateways

Thought of mediation?

If you have not already considered the possibility of mediation then we would really encourage you to explore what this may be able to offer.  We work closely with Essex Mediation and it is possible for them to refer clients to us, saving the need for you to use the self referral system.  Legal Aid is possible for mediation for those clients that qualify, contact Essex mediation for further information.Essex Mediation
